Weddings

I can assist you with:

Questions about the process of wedding protocol and ceremony. If you want your ceremony to be Spiritual, NOT Religious. If you want your guests to have a good experience and don’t want them to sit through a long or boring service.

Creating a distinctively personalized event; working with you to help capture, express, and celebrate your loving connection. I assist my couples in all facets of the design and performance of their desired experience.

Vow Renewals

Planning your vow renewal is incredibly exciting, but there are lots of decisions to be made. A vow renewal ceremony is very similar to a traditional marriage ceremony.

You can enter through a short processional, exchange vows, and share a kiss before and a blessing from the presiding officiant and continue to the celebrations. OR You don’t have to walk down the aisle, and no one must give away anyone.

If you have something creative in mind, go with it! The ceremony itself can take place in any location that you like. Will you have attendants and if so, how many? Will you be including your children? Friends? Other family?

Baby Namings

A Baby Naming or Blessing Ceremony is a special way of celebrating the birth of your child and welcoming the new arrival into the family. It is also a beautiful way to welcome and celebrate an adoptive child into the family or to embrace stepchildren into a new family.

Housewarming / House Cooling

Housewarming ceremonies help you to recognize your new home with intention. They are a celebration of new beginnings and a statement of future wishes.

House cooling ceremonies help you to say goodbye to a space and a place that has been your home and to acknowledge the ways that it has served you and your family. It is an opportunity to pay attention to where you have been, where you are now and where you are moving onto.

Coming Out Ceremonies

If you’ve decided to come out to your friends and family, that’s wonderful! I will help you to craft a ceremony that honors your transition, the grief of what was, the struggle in becoming, the joy of discovery and your declarations for the future.

Croning / Saging Ceremonies

The sacred passage from Motherhood to Cronehood may occur when a woman becomes a grandmother, retires from her active profession, or when she transitions through menopause. “Crone” is derived from the word Cronus (time) and points to the wisdom gained through life experiences.

The ceremony to honor the masculine divine in this last phase is often called a Saging ritual, when the man is honored as a sage and elder.

Funerals and Memorials

Planning and preparation for a funeral ceremony can be overwhelming.

If you have questions about the process of end-of-life celebration protocol and ceremony. If you want your loved one’s end-of-life ceremony to be Spiritual, NOT Religious. If you want your guests to have a good experience and don’t want them to sit through a long or tedious service.

I can help create a distinctively personalized event, working with you to help capture, express, and celebrate the loving connection that you shared.

Divorce / Uncoupling Ceremony

The transitions in our lives allow us to reflect on our relationships and the changes that can occur. I can help you to create a ceremony that gives a voice to the grief and sadness of your loss while reflecting on your current status of separation and incorporating the acknowledgment of your intentions for the future.

You can take the opportunity to reframe your decision as an opportunity for growth versus the consequences of a failed marriage, beginning your new life without shame or blame.

Pet Memorials

Our pets are part of our families, and losing a pet is difficult. Having a memorial service where you acknowledge your loss in the presence of family or friends can help you to deal with the loss.

I can help create a distinctively personalized event; working with you to help capture, express, and celebrate the loving connection that you shared.

Death Anniversaries

A death anniversary is also called a death day or a Remembrance Day. I can help you to create a memorial honoring the anniversary of a death.

You can take the opportunity to bring family members, friends, and colleagues together to honor someone’s life. You can honor a loved one with a special meal, a walk on their favorite trail, or an evening around a fire.

Drum Circle Facilitator

There are so many ways to open ourselves to communion and presence, from sitting in silence to drumming, dancing, singing, and being in nature. Sometimes it might sound silly, but don’t discount the power and depth of a simple, even childlike experience. Richard Rohr

I am trained in the Remo Health-RHTHMS® group empowerment protocol. I have also received drum circle facilitation training from Jim Donovan M. Ed. I currently practice with Moe Jerant and the Lehigh Valley Drum Circle.

HealthRHYTHMS® is a fun, evidence-based whole-person strategy that promotes socialization and ensures a healthy non-strenuous workout. On a deeper level, it builds bridges while fostering nurturing, support, camaraderie, self-respect, and respect for others. It is not really about drumming but uses the drum as a tool for communication and personal expression.

This system can be integrated as a therapeutic strategy in group counseling sessions, support groups, rehabilitation centers, schools, hospitals, aging facilities, and more. The HealthRHYTHMS Protocol is the foundation of our HealthRHYTHMS Group Empowerment Drumming Program, and consists of 10 steps participants are guided through to facilitate communication and personal expression.

Research has shown the results can include an increase in natural killer cell activity, reduction in stress and burnout rates, improvement in mood states, enhanced creativity and bonding, and more.

10 Health Reasons to Start Drumming

From Christiane Northrup, M.D. Women’s Health Expert, Visionary Health Pioneer and Wellness Speaker

12 Step Drum Circle

In a 12 Step Drum Circle I utilize the HealthRHYHMS protocol to create an experience of community and connection. The circle focuses on a recovery topic with a reading, followed by a brief time of meditation leading us into entrainment through the drum and the rhythms. The entrainment is followed by individual expression and communication using the drum. Throughout our time together there is ample space provided for sharing and support.

Wisdom Drumming

In a Wisdom Drum Circle, I utilize the HealthRHYHMS protocol to create an experience of contemplation and community. I also layer in the ancient practices of the Wisdom Way, those states: “We receive information from our body, our mind, and our heart. Each source produces its own force within us. We are like tuning forks – if we strike one – the other will vibrate.” The circle focuses on a topic suitable to the clients offering entrainment through the drum and the rhythms, tapping into our moving center (the body), our emotional center (the heart), and our intellectual center (the mind).

Customized Drum Circles Rites of Passage/Celebratory

I provide customized drum circles for rites of passage, birthdays and anniversaries. Joyful and uplifting, we discover our own rhythms and connect to the rhythms of others. Join us for an experience of group drumming where we will learn the basics of how to play the drum and how to create wonderful music together. No experience necessary, drums & percussion will be provided.

Spiritual direction is noticing the source’s movement in our lives. We come together to realize that everyday events are how spirit tries to reach us. We look for the message, the lesson, or the gift. You are offered a safe, peaceful, and confidential space to become aware of a more conscious experience of the creator’s presence and love. Spiritual Direction invites you to a closer relationship with your higher power.

I received my Spiritual Direction Training from Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development, and I am a member of Spiritual Directors International.
